SIGNALMENT: Case 98150. Four year old (peripubertal) male cynomolgus macaque ( Macaca fascicularis ), of Indonesian origin. TREATMENT PROTOCOL: Animals dosed with a fusion protein at 10 micrograms/kg/day x 5 days. GROSS PATHOLOGY: Heart: There were 8 small (1-3 mm) focal hemorrhages on the epicardial surface of the ventricles. The lungs were diffusely heavy (27.5 and 31.38 grams, approximately 5 times normal weight), dark red, and wet. White foam exuded from the trachea and major bronchi. SIGNALMENT: Male and female Charles River CD VAF rats, Charles River Canada, St‑Constant, Quebec. Age at initiation of dosing was 6 to 7 weeks. TREATMENT PROTOCOL: Thirty animals per sex per group were given vehicle or an experimental drug. Duration of treatment was 4 weeks. GROSS PATHOLOGY: None LABORATORY RESULTS: Measurable decreases in red cell parameters (RBC, HGB, HCT) occurred in males and females. Slight decreases in reticulocytes were evident at week 2 and 4. The 2020 STP Annual Symposium is Cancelled The Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic continues to impact all of our lives in unexpected and challenging ways and must be viewed by all of us as a serious situation. Having closely monitored the global pandemic over the past two months and realizing that the feasibility of holding our annual meeting in June of this year is no longer a viable option, STP leadership, with input from many other stakeholders, has made the difficult but prudent decision to cancel the 2020 STP Annual Symposium that was scheduled to be held June 13-18 in Summerlin, Nevada.
