Ramesh Kovi is currently working as a Director of Pathology at AstraZeneca, Waltham, MA. Prior to this, he was an Associate Research Fellow (Scientific Director), Pathology at Pfizer Drug Safety Research and Development, Senior Pathologist at Experimental Pathology Laboratories Inc, and NTP Pathologist (C) at Division of National Toxicology Program (DNTP), National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), in Research Triangle Park, NC, USA; Comparative pathologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota, Department Veterinary Population Medicine and Masonic Cancer Center. Dr. Kovi received his B.V.Sc & A.H (DVM equivalent) from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru, India; M.V.Sc in Veterinary Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, India, and Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, MA, USA. He is certified in anatomic pathology by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) and in toxicology by the American Board of Toxicology (ABT) and he is a Fellow of the International Academy of Toxicologic Pathology (IATP). Ramesh has over 20 years of experience in cancer biology, molecular biology, and pathobiological sciences and nearly 10 years of experience in veterinary anatomic pathology including toxicologic pathology and molecular pathology. Ramesh has an active publication record by contributing to several peer-reviewed publications, reviews, and book chapters. He serves as a member editorial board of the Toxicologic Pathology journal and reviewer for several journals in the field of cancer biology and pathology. Ramesh is an active member of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP), Society of Toxicologic Pathologists (STP), American Board of Toxicology (ABT), Genetics and Environmental Mutagenesis Society-North Carolina (GEMS-NC), American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD), and American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). He has contributed to numerous STP committees, working groups, and panels: Annual Symposium Committee, Awards Committee, Education Committee, INHAND-CNS, and INHAND-Dog working groups and ACVP committees including Education Committee.
