Nominate an Outstanding Colleague for an STP Award

You are encouraged to nominate outstanding fellow STP members for three 2019 awards:

  • STP Lifetime Achievement Award
  • STP Distinguished Early Career Award
  • STP Outstanding Mentor Award

March 30 is the nomination deadline for each award.

The STP Lifetime Achievement Award is given to a member in good standing who has played critical and influential roles in the area of toxicologic pathology over an extended period of time. Nominees will have been contributing for 20 years or more and may be active or retired. Achievement may be demonstrated by a body of work in any or all of the following areas: scientific discovery, education, regulatory standards, or service to the Society of Toxicologic Pathology. The recipient receives a $1,000 monetary prize and plaque at the Awards Ceremony during the STP Annual Meeting.

The STP Distinguished Early Career Award will be given to a member in good standing who has made significant early career advances in toxicologic pathology. The award is intended for young investigators (within ten years of residency/postdoctoral study completion) who have distinguished themselves in industry, government, education, and/or public service. The recipient receives a $750 monetary prize and plaque at the Awards Ceremony during the STP Annual Meeting.

The STP Outstanding Mentor Award is to be given to a member in good standing who has played a significant role in the training of toxicologic pathologists. This award is intended for individuals who have mentored pathologists as part of formal training programs as well as individuals who have consistently provided informal coaching or instruction. The recipient receives a $750 monetary prize and plaque at the Awards Ceremony during the STP Annual Meeting.
