Opt-in Offer for upcoming INHAND Fish Pathology print issue

The International Harmonization of Nomenclature and Diagnostic Criteria (INHAND) initiative announces the forthcoming Fish Pathology special issue. The Fish Expert Working Group, in collaboration with the Global Educational Steering Committee (GESC)—which includes representatives from the STP, BSTP, ESTP, and JSTP—is currently finalizing the content for this publication. The issue is anticipated to be published in the Journal of Toxicologic Pathology (JSTP) in late 2025 or early 2026.

This issue differs from previous INHAND publications due to the unique anatomical and histopathological features of fish. As a result, it includes significantly more content, and many more images, than have been typical for INHAND issues. However, this large publication will also be very expensive to print, and we are mindful of the environmental impact and the elevated costs of shipping and individually mailing printed issues. Therefore, we want to confirm that you would like to receive the print version of this issue in advance. Every member who 'opts in' in the survey below will get a print issue of INHAND Fish Pathology.

All members will have access to the comprehensive online version--featuring high quality images--at the time of publication. There will be a link to the online issue on the STP INHAND reference webpage, and all parts of the special issue can be downloaded in pdf form. Additionally, as with all INHAND publications, the content will be hosted on goRENI, the global reference platform for nomenclature and diagnostic criteria in toxicologic pathology. goRENI is periodically updated to ensure the most accurate and current information is available.

Please note that this approach is specific to this Fish Pathology issue and does not represent a shift away from offering printed INHAND issues in the future. We recognize and appreciate the value many of our members place on printed materials, especially for the INHAND special issues. We do kindly ask that you complete the survey to indicate whether you wish to receive a printed copy. The survey will remain open through the end of July. Only those who respond affirmatively will receive a printed copy, as we must provide the final print quantity to the publisher shortly thereafter.

Thank you for your participation and continued support.
