Calling all trainees with an interest in toxicologic pathology!

Have you published a peer-reviewed journal article of original work involving clinical or experimental research related to toxicologic pathology within the past year? Or have you been notified that such a manuscript has been accepted for publication?

If so, and you like cash and prizes in recognition of your outstanding work, then we have just the opportunity for you…the IATP/STP Charles Capen Trainee Award! The application deadline has been extended to March 30! Applications only involve completion of an online application form, a copy of your publication or submitted manuscript with the acceptance letter from the journal, as well as a letter of recommendation from a faculty member familiar with your work. Eligible trainees are individuals working on an academic degree, or in a training or residency program, in the field of experimental or toxicologic pathology or a related discipline (to include, but not limited to, veterinary students, pathology residents [veterinary or medical] and/or MS or PhD students). Candidates who have recently completed their graduate studies within 12 months of the application deadline are also eligible but must have been enrolled in a program at the time the data were collected.

The awardee will be recognized at the 2023 Society of Toxicologic Pathology Annual Symposium in Summerlin, Nevada, June 25–28, and receive a $2,000 monetary award to further their training and education in the field of toxicologic pathology, plus complimentary STP student membership for the following year.

Please visit the STP website for additional information.

Don’t delay and apply today! Good luck!
