Dear Colleagues:

I look forward with great anticipation to meeting in person for the STP 42nd Annual Symposium: Toxicologic Pathology of the Hepatobiliary System from June 25-28, 2023, at the Red Rock Resort in Summerlin, Nevada. While we have just over six months to go, now is the opportune time to make plans to reconnect with your colleagues for another dynamic meeting with excellent scientific sessions, continuing education courses, and many networking opportunities.

Program Co-Chairs Drs. Arun Pandiri (NIEHS), John Cullen (North Carolina State University), and Robert Maronpot (Maronpot Consulting, LLC), and the 2023 Scientific Program Planning Committee have planned an excellent week of sessions to expose attendees to a broad array of contemporary topics related to toxicologic pathology of the hepatobiliary system. The CE courses selected by Drs. Maria Dagli, Melanie Greeley, and the CE Subcommittee will have something of interest for everybody! In addition to the outstanding scientific program, numerous special events are scheduled. I encourage you to visit the Annual Symposium website to review the preliminary program and to make hotel reservations at the Red Rock Resort, our meeting venue, as soon as possible to ensure availability and to take advantage of the early registration fee. Please register by April 30th to receive the Early Bird Rate!

The symposium will kick off on Sunday before the general sessions begin with the Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT) Satellite Symposium, Career Development Workshop, and two CE Courses. The Career Development Roundtable, which is also open to all attendees at no additional fee and requires registration in advance, will be held on Monday, June 26, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

Our exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall are an important part of our meeting. Please plan on visiting them early and often. The Exhibit Hall opens on Sunday, June 25, at 5:30 pm and will be the venue for our Welcoming Reception from 5:30 pm–7:00 pm that evening.

As noted, the Annual Symposium and Exhibition will be held at the Red Rock Resort in Summerlin, Nevada, just 20 minutes from the Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and 10 miles from Las Vegas Boulevard, the most recognizable street in Las Vegas. Reserving your room at the official hotel helps ensure that STP can secure appropriate meeting space for the annual symposium while also keeping registration rates low. You are encouraged to book at this hotel, where we have reserved a block of rooms at negotiated rates for the convenience of all our attendees.

While it will be hot in June, downtown Summerlin, located within walking distance of the Red Rock Resort, is a mix of homegrown shops, restaurants, indoor and outdoor venues, and events, including the Las Vegas Ballpark and the Golden Knights practice facility.

I look forward to reconnecting with everyone in Summerlin as we move toward a post-pandemic future. Until then, stay well and be safe. See you in Summerlin!

Sincerely,
