  STP Announces New Editor-in-Chief

The Society of Toxicologic Pathology (STP) Executive Committee is pleased to announce that Dr. Kevin Keane has accepted the position of incoming Editor-in-Chief (EIC) for Toxicologic Pathology, the shared journal of the British Society of Toxicological Pathology (BSTP), European Society of Toxicologic Pathology (ESTP), and STP.  Kevin will begin working with the current EIC, Dr. Susan Elmore, beginning in July 2020 to enable his first issue of record in January 2021.

Dr. Keane has a strong background in toxicologic pathology spanning almost two decades.  He is a member of the ESTP and STP and recently has spent five years serving on the editorial board of Toxicologic Pathology as an associate editor.  Kevin completed his DVM at the University of Tennessee in 1995 and then his pathology residency and PhD at Colorado State University in 2001.  Kevin’s broad international experience including industry positions in North America, China, and Europe is considered a real strength for the position of Editor-in-Chief.  Kevin is currently the lead toxicologic pathologist in the Stem Cell Transformational Research Unit at Novo Nordisk in Denmark.

The STP Executive Committee is thankful for the efforts and recommendation of the EIC Search Committee, (chaired by Lindsay Tomlinson and including Susan Elmore, Emily Meseck, Stacey Fossey, Catherine Botteron, Brad Bolon, John Foster, and Kevin McDorman) for this exciting appointment.  Based on the work ethic and characters of both Kevin and Susan, the committees are confident that our esteemed colleagues will guide
Toxicologic Pathology through this transition period in a cohesive and professional manner.

Please join STP in congratulating Kevin as incoming Editor-in-Chief!
